So when I am not taking pics of weddings I'm taking photos of everything else. Whenever I get a chance to travel it gives me a chance to get really creative and practice all things photography.
I recently got back from visiting New York with my mum, she has always wanted to visit for over 30 years, she travelled with her own mum and visited many places in America but never got around to seeing NYC.
My mum actually living her dream was an emotional trip, everything we saw had special meaning for my mum. Off course we saw all the usual big sights, it's hard not to see Brooklyn bridge, Rockefeller plaza, Empire State, Central Park etc.
We saw old classic NYC, on our first day I had booked a classic harbour cruise from the 1920's complete with a free glass of bubbly. Seeing the skyline and Statue of Liberty for the first time blew our minds.
We had a chance to walk the highline, an old train line that goes right through the sky scrapers and ends at west 34th street.
Finishing our first day off with a walk along Brooklyn bridge back into Downtown Manhattan. This was the only thing I was really, really excited about and a must see. I was not disappointed, I can try and write in a blog how amazing this city really was but you just have to see it for yourself.
Later that night we stumbled across Swing 46, an old swing and jazz bar complete with swing and Lindy hop dancing. Anyone that knows jazz, I witnessed swing royalty Mr. George Gee and his swing orchestra play in this coolest swing bar in town. We loved every minute of it, My grandparents loved everything swing, jazz and I know they would of loved it too.
Here are a few of my fave pics, until we meet again New York.
